Cinematographer and photographer David Thomas Graves has worked in the entertainment industry since the age of thirteen, when he started operating cameras for Lakeland Public Television in Minnesota, in a volunteer capacity. By the end of 2007 David had over 746 hours of live television studio time as a camera operator and floor director for live political debates, cooking shows, and nightly news broadcasts. In addition to working in television, David developed his own production company that created public service announcements and promotional videos. He moved to California to attend Brooks Institute of Photography to further develop his skills in cinematography and camera operation. Since then he has worked as a cinematographer on music videos, commercials, and narrative shorts. David is also an experienced commercial photographer; he shoots ad campaigns for record labels, clothing companies, and radio stations, as well as for large corporations.
